In light of the current situation with schools closing, we have switched to learning from home! We have subscribed to a new Virtual Learning Platform as well as devised weekly home learning opportunities for your children. Please make sure you take a look on a regular basis as we try to update this website so we can keep our children learning.

Alongside our subscriptions to Scholastic Reading Pro and TT Rockstars, we now use Google Classroom. This innovative learning platform allows pupils to keep on top of their learning in a range of subjects. Teachers will send through work and resources with assigned deadlines on a daily basis for pupils to complete. This learning platform will also allow teachers to communicate with their pupils whenever they need any help or support.
Each week teachers and pupils will be able to “meet” using the Google Meet facility. This will allow everyone to catch, chat and play any fun games for 20-30 minutes. Their teacher will let them know what day and time they will be meeting.
As you are aware, our pupils have access to an online reading platform. This gives them access to a range of fantastic fiction and non fiction books which are pitched at their Lexile reading level. Their log in details are in their reading records however if they have lost them, please email your child’s teacher.
White Rose Maths Hub are completing daily Maths lessons for your child to complete. A regular daily learning routine will help your child to learn more effectively at home, and just one 20-30 minute White Rose Maths session each day will really help your child to keep them learning and motivated. What’s more, the White Rose Maths Team will be online each weekday between 10.00 and 11.00am – great opportunities for your child to show and share their work, questions and ideas every day via any of the White Rose Maths social media channels.
This brilliant App helps pupils to improve their rapid recall of multiplication and division facts. By knowing these facts, it helps pupils to build on more difficult concepts in Mathematics such as relationships between numbers and other areas such as fractions. Their log in details are in their reading records however if they have lost them, please email your child’s teacher.
This is another fantastic website which allows pupils to focus on their number and counting skills. Ideal to build the foundations of Mathematics before going on to more complex concepts.
This website is a brilliant way to learn a number of different languages in a fun and engaging way. Simply sign in on your email account for your child so they can begin learning the language of their choice! What’s more there is an App which works alongside it.
Currently our chosen foreign language is Spanish so this would be a great way to improve their ability in speaking, listening and reading language.
To save your child or children’s progress on Duolingo, you need to provide email details. We would recommend using an adult’s email so that you can monitor their activity.
