Milton (Y1)

Our class name comes from Viscount Milton. His name was given to the famous iron works at Elsecar. The Milton Ironworks was established as a furnace by the renowned Rotherham firm of Walker and Company. The Walkers were a major national supplier of iron products, including cannon for the Napoleonic wars.

 

 

Class information

At our school, we use Class Dojo as a key platform to share children’s learning and experiences with parents and carers. Through Class Dojo, families receive regular updates, photographs, and examples of classroom activities, helping them stay closely connected to what their child is learning and achieving in school. This ongoing communication provides parents and carers with a rich insight into the curriculum, classroom routines, and pupils’ personal progress, supporting a strong partnership between home and school.
