Fitzwilliam (Y2)

Our class is named after Earl Fitzwilliam, part of the influential Fitzwilliam family who shaped much of the local area from the late 1700s onward. The Earl developed Elsecar into a model industrial village, building homes, schools, and workplaces for local families, and their main residence was the grand Wentworth Woodhouse.

At our school, we use Class Dojo as a key platform to share children’s learning and experiences with parents and carers. Through Class Dojo, families receive regular updates, photographs, and examples of classroom activities, helping them stay closely connected to what their child is learning and achieving in school. This ongoing communication provides parents and carers with a rich insight into the curriculum, classroom routines, and pupils’ personal progress, supporting a strong partnership between home and school.
