In art we have studied more painting by Wassily Kandinsky. The pupils have observed his use of line, shape and colour to create abstract compositions. They explore how to draw different types of lines including think and thin lines. Further to this, they use different media to fill backgrounds and shapes. The children really enjoyed smudging with chalks and pastels. The final piece was to use the skills they had developed to create their own abstract piece in the style of Kandinsky. The results are wonderful and show the different imaginations of each pupil.
